**Your Opportunity**:
The Maternal Newborn Child and Youth (MNCY) Strategic Clinical Network (SCN) mobilizes people, evidence, and data to achieve the best possible health outcomes for mothers, newborn, children, and families within a sustainable, publicly funded learning health system. A focus of the MNCY SCN is the sustainment of Alberta Family Integrated Care (FICare) practices in all 14 neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) in the province. Alberta FICare is an evidence-based model of care that integrates parents into the care of their baby from the time of admission to the NICU. With practical tools and strategies to facilitate operationalization, multidisciplinary neonatal care providers educate and support parents as they gain knowledge, skills, and confidence in care of their baby. The MNCY SCN is seeking an experienced Practice Lead to support the sustainment in practice of Alberta FICare. Under the direction of the Executive Director of the MNCY SCN, the individual will lead the sustainment of Alberta FICare in 14 NICUs, providing support to administrative and clinical stakeholders with educational materials, completion of fidelity site visits, audit and feedback, and reporting and monitoring. The individual will also collaborate with colleagues in the MNCY SCN to support design and operationalization of a provincial Family Mentor program and clinical coordinator. The practice lead requires an in-depth understanding of NICU clinical practice environments and the implementation of Alberta FICare principles. The practice lead should have the ability to establish front line engagement to support the translation of Alberta FICare knowledge into frontline, patient-level practice. The individual is a skilled communicator, facilitator and collaborator with a high degree of initiative and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.

**Description**:
The work environment requires time spent at a computer, on the telephone, and will require provincial travel (ground and air) to all provincial NICUs. The position can involve remote and/or hybrid work. The Practice Lead will support ongoing implementation of province-wide Alberta FICare strategies, and in doing so: Support Neonatal teams in the development and understanding of key performance metrics for Alberta FICare implementation strategies, change management strategies and communications Provide expertise and local support to teams/clinicians in Alberta FICare practice areas aimed at enhancing care of parents and their newborn infants. Use clinical and education expertise to maintain the educational materials for clinicians and physicians in support of sustainability. Develop and manage relationships with a wide network of partners and stakeholders to ensure broad engagement and support of Alberta FICare.

**Required Qualifications**:
A minimum of a related post-secondary degree in health care. At least 5 years conducting quality improvement, project management, and/or professional practice improvement in NICU.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Demonstrated stakeholder communication and management at multiple levels across health services organizations, and government sectors. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills are crucial to the role. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are critical to the role. Understanding of Alberta Health Services and Covenant Health structures and processes. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with monitoring and tracking outcomes and impact.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Graduate degree in health care, health sciences, or a related field.
