**Position Summary & Purpose of Role**

This role is responsible for leading the sourcing of approximately $80M CAD spend covering the IT categories of hardware, software and professional services for the McCain Foods Company. This person leads the sourcing strategy development, tactics and key activities for the category in collaboration with the Technology Vendor Management Office (VMO) team. This role will also lead a team of at least two (2) Senior Procurement Analysts and will be required to set clear objectives for the team, monitor performance and coach team members in order to sustain a high performance culture and support career development.

**Responsibilities And Accountabilities**
- Drive cost focused strategy for the IT spend area
- Lead the sourcing strategy to deliver going cost savings targets
- Delivery of Sustainable Cost Advantage Program
- Build supplier relationship program for the relative markets to deliver significant value for McCain Foods
- Ensure company purchases in the spend pool comply with company internal controls requirements
- Build strong client relationships with the McCain team in the IT category and VMO.
- In coordination with the VMO team, lead the overall supplier relationship strategy for spend area, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other company departments.
- Bring leadership on market knowledge, influencing business needs and commercial results to the company. Must have in-depth knowledge of:

- Procurement Skills and Best Practices
- Hardware
- Software
- Technical Professional Services
- Engage and collaborate cross region with peers and other team members of the Indirect category to deliver best practices and accelerated results.
- Manage a team of approximately 2-3 staff
- ** Team Leadership**
- Builds capabilities within direct reporting team, focusing on development planning and coaching
- Fosters a culture that allows team to feel valued and respected
- Role model for the McCain Leadership principles and focus on embedding within day-to-day actions and behaviours of the team

**Qualifications And Experience Required**
- Must have a minimum of 5-8 years procurement experience, with some of that experience in the IT category
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Engineering, Master’s Degree is considered an asset
- Proven ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently when needed, to make sound business decisions, and accurately balance risks with business needs
- Regarded as a constructive team player and have a strong sense of partnership behavior
