**Project Leader / Specialist / Associate Timing / Scheduling / Specifications**

**Job Summary**:
Our client in Kanata, ON is looking for a Project Leader / Specialist / Associate Timing / Scheduling / Specifications. This is a contract position.

**What You Will Do**:
As an Vehicle Software Updates - Systems Engineer, you will work with a team that is determined to deliver a robust and reliable Software Update solution to customers, continually increasing the value and functionality of the vehicles that our customers rely on every day.

What you'll be able to do:

- Support ongoing software update release activities for Multi-Module OTA products across a variety of vehicle programs.
- Coordinate between multiple teams to triage, diagnose, and coordinate resolution of issues found during software update pre-release testing.
- Participate in ongoing test activities for a variety of electronic control modules and coordinate between the program teams and the suppliers to ensure that issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
- Coordinate software development and integration activities between our client´s Company and its multiple suppliers to ensure a consistent, reliable, and predictable software update experience for customers.
- Author, update, and distribute various requirement and specification documents, and work with a variety of individuals to educate and train them on the software update behaviors specified by those documents.

**Basics**:

- Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (or equivalent).
- 3 or more years of software or hardware development experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of cumulative experience in software development, using at least two different programming languages.
- 1 year or more working as a Product Owner, or Systems Engineer or Technical Product Manager in the Software Industry.
- 3+ years of experience required.

**Preferred**:

- Ability to work well in a collaborative, extreme agile development team with business and development partners.
- Ability to translate Business Requirements into system level Technical Requirements for cascade to Software Development Community on the Embedded side as well as Cloud side.
- Experience working with end-customer facing systems.
- Experience with developing or testing embedded systems (cell phones, automotive, control systems, drones, etc.).
- Understanding ownership of product end-to-end (goals, strategy, development, testing, launch, and support).
- Ability to work independently, provide thought leadership, and demonstrate vision into product improvements as technologies mature over time.
- Ability to be detail oriented.
- Extremely strong communication skills, capable of abstracting material to appropriate level of leadership.
