**Legal Coordinator - Job Summary**

The Legal Coordinator reports to the VP Legal & General Counsel. The Legal Coordinator supports the Foodtastic legal department by monitoring and coordinating the flow of internal legal requests and assists in evaluating team priorities.

**Location: Toronto, ON**

**Primary duties and responsibilities**:
We are looking to add a legal coordinator who will provide support to Foodtastic’s growing and dynamic legal team (i.e. four lawyers). Support is needed to ensure that all issues are handled efficiently, while respecting their highly confidential nature. The legal coordinator will assist the team as needed to advance legal matters.
- Develops systems and procedures for administering and tracking legal matters.
- Manages incoming legal requests and populates legal matter tracker.
- Manages litigation tracker.
- Manages Franchise Agreement and Franchise Disclosure Document Tracker.
- Monitors the legal file status to ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
- Works with internal technologies and platforms to populate various document sets to be reviewed by internal legal team.
- Obtains and coordinates signature of documents via DocuSign and prepares first drafts of correspondence, notices and various other documents to be reviewed by legal team.
- Maintains all legal files (electronic and paper copy)
- Assists with organization of internal corporate documents and filings; and
- From time to time, conducts basic legal research to support the legal team.

**Skills & Requirements**:

- Minimum three (3) years of law firm or in-house experience.
- Law degree from a Canadian law school or recognized international law school.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills to manage multiple projects at any given time, with tight deadlines.
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English and French is preferred.
- Experience in franchising matters is preferred.
