Linc Manager

**Position Type**: Full Time (in person) - **Working Hours**: 35 per week - **Location**: Peel Region

Reporting to the Director of Programs and Services, this position plays a key role in developing and leading the strategic and operational objectives of the organization through a collaborative and innovative approach, and a passion for achievement. This position will play an integral role in providing leadership to staff as well as ensuring their well-being, and supporting newcomers’ integration into Canadian society.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage and oversee the implementation and delivery of all LINC Programs and Services including but not limited to Language Services, Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) and support services
- Create and maintain effective workflow and communication, plan, develop, and supervise all aspects of LINC programs and services
- Develop short and long-term strategic plans and work with the teams to establish outcomes including implementing community outreach strategies
- Ensure program targets, objectives and funder requirements are met in order to achieve strategic outcomes
- Work with Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) staff to ensure compliance with CMAS regulations
- Participate in program planning with management and staff teams, and support staff in program/activity implementation.
- Work with management and program teams to implement evaluation plans within programs and services, and make changes/improvements to programs as appropriate based on evaluative data
- Maximize staff’s performance by defining their duties, establishing performance outcomes, evaluating performance and maintaining a competitive structure.
- Monitor and evaluate organizational and program effectiveness, and identify areas for continued improvement.
- Recruit, train and supervise staff and ensure staff have the training and development (e.g. coaching/mentorship) required for their positions
- Provide administration, management and leadership support to the staff / Director to ensure the program’s mandate is carried out as defined, including the agency’s policies and procedures.
- Build a strong community, partnerships, and public relations that support MCS’ mandate.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly program reports for submission to funders and management.
- Any other duties or responsibility prescribed by the Board and/or designate that is complimentary or required for this position and the program.
- Reports to the Executive Director or his/her designate.

**QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Project Management or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role in LINC or a related program
- Extensive knowledge of HARTs, iCARE and Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA)
- Experience working with newcomers to Canada, strong understanding of barriers to social and economic participation of newcomers in Peel Region
- Strong leadership experience with management-level teams using an approach that fosters individual and team strengths and development.
- Strong business perception including strategic planning, financial management and marketing skills
- Demonstrated leadership in developing impactful, high-quality programs and services.
- Experience using online tools and platforms to enhance and complement in-person service.
- Experience developing and managing program budgets, and identifying funding needs and opportunities. Proven skills in developing and writing successful funding proposals and producing funder reports.
- Experience building and maintaining positive relationships with funders at different levels of government, and with foundations.
- Strong communication skills including presentation, public speaking, and grant writing abilities.
- Ability to exercise excellent judgement, prioritize, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity to change.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, take on additional responsibilities, and be a team player.
- Excellent Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media, Office 365.
- Flexible to work evenings and or on weekends, when required.
- Police Record Check including for Vulnerable Sectors at your own cost.
- Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license, to use own vehicle for job-related travelling on a regular basis.
