Job Overview
Act as the first interface within the HR Department, through setting up new employee and change records within the Dayforce HRIS and applicable systems, providing employee relations to stakeholders, and providing administrative support to the HR department.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Set up new employees on Ceridian Dayforce and enroll employees in the applicable benefit plans through Manulife Financial Insurance.
- Process changes in personal or employment data through the relevant systems (Dayforce or Manulife Financial), completing the applicable forms as needed to ensure HR controls are met.
- Maintain/reset active user passwords in Dayforce.
- Support maintenance of labour strategy hourly pay rates, by updating rates in Dayforce.
- Maintain employee files, including the sign out of employee files for review, ensuring documents are retained for audit/control purposes.
- Prepare employee letters (i.e. job confirmation) as required.
- Support customer and financial audits by preparing documentation and running reports.
- Prepare salaried/hourly employment agreements and termination agreements as per request.
- Support the recruitment process by conducting hourly interviews as required, conducting reference checks, preparing new hire paperwork, and presenting job offers.
- Facilitate the orientation process by setting up Dayforce access, coordinating security access cards and facial recognition profile set up, coordinating orientations.
- Assist with maintaining training records for both HR and Health & Safety.
- Maintain the Marmac communication boards ensure content is posted and current.
- Assist with filing to support the various HRBPs across our sites.
- Support annual wage and bonus processing activities by preparing employee letters.
- Follow the company’s health and safety program, rules and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes.
**The Recipe for Success**:
- Minimum completion of a Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous HR experience preferred.
- Previous experience with the Ceridian Dayforce HCM or a comparable system is an asset.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle conflict.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize deadlines to ensure execution.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and Office 365.
