**Elementary School Tutors**

Part-time positions: 5 to 15 hours per week

**Description**:
Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Elementary Student Support, the tutor is primarily responsible for helping students learn and understand new concepts and complete assignments.

**What you’ll do**:

- Contribute to student learning, growth, and advancement
- Invest in the learners’ well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally
- Recognize the relationship between social-emotional learning and academic performance and show an ability to teach the whole child
- Fulfill other duties as required

**Skills, Experience and Attributes Required**:

- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with educational experience
- Experience in elementary school education
- Differentiated practice knowledge
- Orton-Gillingham Training is an asset
- Proficiency with Google Workspace

**Tuteurs ou tutrices à l'école primaire**

Postes à temps partiel : 5 à 15 heures par semaine

**Description**:
Sous la supervision de la coordonnatrice au soutien des élèves à l’école primaire, le tuteur ou la tutrice est principalement chargé(e) d'aider les élèves à apprendre et à comprendre de nouveaux concepts et à réaliser des travaux.

**Responsabilités**:

- Dispenser un enseignement individuel pour aider à combler les lacunes des élèves en matière de compétences fondamentales dans l'une des matières suivantes : L’anglais (peut inclure l'apprentissage de l'anglais pour les élèves internationaux), le français et les mathématiques.
- Contribuer à l'apprentissage, au développement et à la progression des élèves.
- Investir dans le bien-être, la santé et la sécurité des apprenants, sur le plan physique, social et émotionnel.
- Reconnaître la relation entre l'apprentissage socio-émotionnel et les résultats scolaires et faire preuve d'une capacité à enseigner à l'élève dans son intégralité.
- S'acquitter d'autres tâches selon les besoins.

**Compétences, expérience et qualités requises**:

- Baccalauréat en éducation ou dans un domaine connexe avec expérience en éducation.
- Expérience en éducation au niveau primaire.
- Maîtrise des matières faisant l’objet du tutorat.
- Connaissance de la pratique différenciée.
- Formation Orton-Gillingham est un atout.
- Maîtrise de l'outil Google Workspace.
- Fortes compétences linguistiques en anglais pour les matières enseignées en anglais.
- Fortes compétences linguistiques en français pour les matières enseignées en français.
