Tech Assistant

Regina, Canada 24 HR Animal Care Centre Full time

A friendly, reliable, punctual person who possesses excellent oral and written communication skills will be required for this role. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is an asset. However, we will provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Duties include assisting our Veterinarians and Technologists with the following:
a) Escorting clients and pets into exam rooms and gathering a brief medical history prior to exams

b) Obtain vitals

c) Prepare estimates and invoices for clients

d) Run laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic imaging

e) Occasional phone assistance for reception

Additional duties include:
1) Assist Techs with sample collection, catheter placement, wound care, suture removal etc. using proper patient handling and positioning

2) Providing basic patient care such as feeding and providing walks, cleaning kennels, nail trims, etc.

3) Maintain clinic cleanliness as needed and work with other department teams to ensure clinic remains organized, neat and tidy
