Toronto, Canada LumiQ Full time

We’re LumiQ - an audio-first professional education platform for CPAs. We help CPAs get their continuing professional development (CPD) hours through engaging podcasts with business leaders (the CFOs of Slack, Shopify, Yelp, Yahoo, TD Bank, and Wealthsimple just to name a few). CPD/CPE is the yearly required learning that CPAs generally dread doing. They’re tired of dealing with boring webinars, irrelevant content and product experiences that are out-of-date. That’s why they’ve flocked to LumiQ and our mission to make professional learning enjoyable.

With hundreds of companies signed up, we’re at the precipice of launching a global movement that’s going to massively change the professional education and podcasting industries. Following our recent Series A, we’ve expanded into the US market and are seeing wonderful early signs of traction.

Despite our lightning growth, we tend not to subscribe to the mantra of “move fast and break things.” Our goal is to build a profitable company, where our employees can learn and grow, and where customers see real value and genuinely enjoy using the product. We are building a company meant to last, and if this resonates with you, we hope you will consider joining us on our journey to transform professional education

Join us as a Special Projects Associate and be the right hand of our CEO, helping him and being an extension of him for everything and anything. This role will have a front-row seat building a successful high-growth company clients love. Ideal for ambitious individuals at the early stages of their careers, this position could be your stepping stone to becoming a future founder or leader.

We're not just looking for a specific professional or educational background; we're on the hunt for raw talent combined with unyielding drive and a passion for learning. You’ll work on a diverse range of projects - from the nuts and bolts of administrative tasks to pivotal strategic support that propels LumiQ forward. If the thrill of wearing multiple hats and making a tangible impact excites you, you're exactly who we need. Join us and be a part of shaping LumiQ's future

**WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:

- Anything. Literally anything you are called on to help with. Whether its researching an international expansion or booking a restaurant, this role has no boundaries and endless possibilities to add value. But I guess we should try to add some specifics.
- Maximize CEO Effectiveness: Act as a dynamic extension of the CEO, whether that means stepping in for projects and meetings to optimize their focus and time, or simply managing their time.
- Leadership Liaison: Attend senior leadership meetings, take detailed notes, prepare agendas, and ensure follow-through on action items.
- Strategic Research Analyst: Conduct in-depth research to identify and evaluate potential strategic opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Process Improvement Pioneer: Constantly seek and suggest enhancements to our operational processes.
- Project Management Pro: Drive cross-functional projects towards success with your exceptional management skills.

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- We are open to a variety of backgrounds and experience for this role (but we always have a soft spot for designated accountants because we love our industry).

Ideally, you should possess the following:

- Entrepreneurial Zeal: Thrive in the excitement of building businesses, eager to contribute to a company experiencing rapid growth.
- Initiative Taker: Recognized for your proactive approach, you don't wait for instructions but instinctively know what needs to be done.
- Adaptable to Ambiguity: Comfortable navigating uncertainty and flexible enough to evolve with the changing priorities of the CEO and the company.
- Clear Communicator with a Flair for Writing: Excel at expressing ideas with clarity and possess a strong passion for writing.
- Strong Numeracy Skills: Numbers don’t scare you, they excite you. You’ll be working for an accountant who runs a company for accountants, you do the math :)
- No Task Too Small Attitude: Embrace every task, big or small, with equal enthusiasm, understanding the value of diverse responsibilities in the growth of the company.
