Children's Autism Services of Edmonton, is seeking a full-time Respite Mentor for our dynamic and growing organization. We provide family centered in-home and classroom based services to meet the needs of families and children who have autism and other developmental disorders.

The individual most suited to this position will have experience with managing sensitive clinical information, understand the importance of excellent customer service, takes direction easily, and has a flexible and responsive style.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Mentor respite and ensure all workers are trained properly before taking on clients
- Schedule workers and families
- Schedule staff with clients (effective matching of staff and client)
- Manage scheduling issues
- Manage leave requests
- Schedule site-based respite
- Review requests with the clinical team when required
- Input and review new client information/paperwork into system as collected by the intake worker.
- Provide on-call support after hours to support scheduled respite shifts. (weekly rotation)
- Document ongoing staff and client information and correspondence accurately.
- Approve monthly Respite and Developmental Support Aids time sheets.
- Collaborate with Respite Lead on program development activities.
- Monitor incident reports and follow with staff and HR when required.
- Support day-to-day operations as required.

To apply, you must have:

- A diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Your own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize own tasks, work independently, seek clarification and respond to unexpected demands in a timely manner.
- The ability to share after-hours on-call with others in similar role. (including possible weekends)
- Excellent skills with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion and commitment for working with children and their families.
- Standard First Aid with level C-CPR
- Safe Management training (will be provided)
- Ability to provide upon hire a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention check.

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
