Shipper/receiver Assistant

Recreational Power Sports specialize in parts and service for all makes and models of boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, 4x4, personal watercraft, and other recreational vehicles. We are Alberta’s largest dealer of MirroCraft aluminum fishing boats, Montego Bay Pontoons, and Shore Station docking and hoists. We also offer a large selection of pre-owned units and Mercury Marine outboard engines.

We currently have an opening for a Shipper / Receiver Assistant. As a Shipper/Receiver Assistant, you will be part of a fast-paced team. This person will need to be highly organized and have an extreme attention to detail. We are looking for an energetic and positive person with a “get it done” attitude. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of shipping/receiving orders.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Review PO pad daily and place orders with suppliers as needed while ensuring the items are ordered at the best available prices.
- Receive incoming shipments and match with purchase orders. Check quantities and pricing to ensure the charges match what was quoted and ordered.
- Load/unload vans/trucks as necessary
- Check invoices and work orders for accuracy.
- Advise Parts Manager of any damage/changes to an order.
- Picking, organizing & packing orders.
- Obtain quotes from shipping companies for outgoing shipments.
- Assist with coordination and tracking of couriers and freight
- Contact customers when orders are ready for pickup; place items on hold shelf.
- Stock showroom and refill items to maintain inventory.
- Count inventory on an annual basis and make adjustments to TCS as needed.
- Process returns to suppliers for credit; follow-up to make sure credits are received.
- Manage Ebay sales & updating the inventory onsite
- Assist parts staff when needed.
- Keep shipping area clean and organized.
- Work as a team

**Qualifications**:

- Parts Journeyman and/or Material Technician Certificate (preferred)
- Forklift experience an asset
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job, repetitive heavy lifting and lifting up to 50lbs
- Previous experience with materials handling preferred, including pallet jacks etc
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
- Demonstrated initiative, with a good team player attitude
- Computer skills would be an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
