We have a new opportunity for a Pavement & Geotechnical Technician to join our PAVEMENT & Geotechnical Engineering team based in Whitby, Ontario.

**A day in the life**:

- Carrying out fieldwork including pavement investigations, site reconnaissance, borehole drilling, asphalt and concrete coring;
- Scheduling laboratory testing;
- Carrying out local field and office assignments related to pavement engineering;
- Assisting in coordinating and performing pavement engineering field investigations;
- Working with and providing support to other members of the field technician team;
- Assisting with the preparation of engineering documents including reports, drawings and figures;
- Demonstrating a “Safety First” focus and acting as a role model to other staff;
- Complete data entry and analysis of field investigations and laboratory results;
- Compile engineering reports;
- Traveling to complete field investigations within Ontario for short periods of time.

***What you'll bring to WSP...**:

- College Diploma in a Geotechnical / Civil Engineering program, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical / Pavement Engineering;
- Demonstrated analytical skills using Excel;
- Previous experience working as a geotechnical technician;
- Hands-on skills, troubleshooting equipment repairs;
- Knowledge of drilling and coring procedures is an asset;
- A vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and hold a valid driver’s license.
