**What you will be doing**:

- VFD Service Technician’s perform all levels of repair on industrial automation equipment, including, but not limited to the following:

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems
- Order parts, as required
- Repairing and testing VFDs, AC Servos, and Soft Starters
- Service and repair industrial automation electronic equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), AC Servos, and Soft Starters, Motor Control Centers (MCC) and assemblies.
- Diagnose, locate circuit, component, equipment faults and assemblies using multimeters, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, logic probes and other electronic test instruments, tools, and equipment.
- Estimate damage and calculate the cost of materials.
- Populate a quote for repair and send to a customer.
- Adjust, replace, or repair electronic equipment, assemblies and components following equipment manuals and schematics, and using soldering tools and other hand and power tools.
- Monitor and update repair process and maintain inventory.

***What we need from you**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Industrial Automation
- VFD, Servo and DC Drives
- Understanding and experience on VFD, DC Drives, and Soft Starters
- Knowledge of repair electronics equipment
- Experience with AC Servos an asset
- MS Office experience, SharePoint and Access an asset
- Instrumentation experience
- Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to converse to other technical people and engineers
- Ability to work across international borders and travel within Canada
- Must be willing to work overtime and be available for on-call rotation if required
- Ability to work in a high pressure situation
- Ability to work efficiently and reliably with mínimal supervision (project management)
