Safety and Security Services that foster the concepts of partnership, customer service, and quality. Securiguard is current seeking a Part-time Security Operations Centre Professional to join the University of Fraser Valley Security Team in Chilliwack

Securiguard provides Campus Safety and Security Services which include protection of the university community, property, and holdings against criminal or any other activity unwarranted by the University.

The Security Contractor will possess and deliver Campus Safety and Security Services that foster the concepts of partnership, customer service, and quality.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the safety of UFV property, students and staff
- Implementing standard operating procedures for reporting, and dealing with incidents when applicable
- Understanding client security needs, site-specific regulations, equipment, and existing security protocols about fire, theft, or break-in situations
- Ensuring the implementation of standard security protocols
- Detecting and reporting any irregularities and bringing up suggestions for improvement
- Strong multitasking skills: Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- You are the call center for all inquiries and emergencies
- Answering high volume of phone calls while conducting other duties and maintaining excellent standards of customer care
- Immediate response to emergencies whenever necessary
- Dispatching guards and providing access to secured areas.
- Patrolling the property doing security checks, sometimes at night and sometimes alone
- Create and adjust formulas in Excel to submit monthly stats Reviewing CCTV camera footage

**Job Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Security Workers License
- Excellent written (typing skills) and verbal communication skills a must under high-pressure situations
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- OFA 2 (Occupational First Aid level 2)
- Detail oriented, with a keen sense of observation
- Sound understanding of security-specific protocols and procedures
- Good judgment to identify the best course of action when faced with emergency situations.
