**Position description**:
ACS Productions currently seeking an experienced senior _**Audiovisual (AV) Technician**_ to join our team and assist the execution of projects from development of concept to final invoicing, in Toronto. This job involves work experience in the field of audio-visual industry.

**Location**: Etobicoke

**Salary**: $32.00/hr

**Terms of employment**: Permanent Full-time

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle AV broadcast solutions and take full responsibility and ownership for projects.
- Advice and instruct the users of AV equipment and oversee event staging and production.
- Maintenance of equipment and repairs as required, replacement of equipment as needed and track inventory and supplies as well as maintenance of records for the operations and reporting of equipment usage.
- Troubleshoot issues with AV systems and ensure the AV spaces are presentable for use.
- Connect with the team leader and co-ordinate with the team with regard to AVE installation projects and inspect staged equipment prior to loading.
- Attend training programs for technical assessment to keep abreast with recent developments in the field.
- Maintain communication with Manager and the team leader to collect and disseminate information for execution of the project.
- Follow the schedule and communicate with other technicians regarding task list, delivering the set-up and operation of equipment such as videoconferencing and web conferencing equipment, light and sound mixing equipment, microphones, video recorders, projectors, computers etc.
- Connect with the team leader and co-ordinate with the team regarding AVE installation projects and inspect staged equipment prior to loading.
- Ensure a successful event for the client and the company by reviewing necessary information.
- Direct and facilitate the reviews of designs to ensure proper documentation in the field.
- Maintain focus on client needs by meeting with client and maintaining detailed records of the concerns and solutions to client problems.
- Inspect staged equipment prior to loading.
- Coordinate with client for approvals for on-site changes and additions.
- Mentor technicians on event execution and best practices to improve local knowledge base and experience in the market.
- Ensure that client needs are met by managing event crew and operational elements on site.
- Provide assistance to the sale team with meetings with the Client, presentations and event technicalities.
- Conduct analysis to coordinate the requirement of labor and fulfillment of equipment needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with client and crew during the execution of the project.
- Monitor budgets for labor, equipment and materials.
- Handle AV broadcast solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years of experience in an Audio-Visual/event field.
- Must have a proven technical knowledge of audio, video, projection, computer and lighting equipment, A/V, ViD systems, design, wireless networks.
- Additional qualification in electronics and staff management is desirable
- Excellent oral and written communication.

**Languages**: English

**Education**: 2-3 year College Diploma in Electronics
- . In the absence of a College Diploma the applicant is required to demonstrate at least 2-3 year’s experience within the same field (audio visual)

**Experience**: 2-3 years of proven and verifiable work experience as a Technician or managing Technicians in the AV/event industry. Experience with management of audio-visual teams is desirable

**Specific skills**:

- Negotiate complex variables between system design, site conditions and varying set of expectation from stakeholders.
- Proactive and responsive to the demands of the project.

Safety management at the site of action with use of PPE as needed.
- assist with quotes and work order preparations from a technical and labour requirement perspective, taking into account established venue guidelines.
- Coordinate move-in, set-up, dismantle, floor plans and other on-site logistics with facility representatives.
- Organize and conduct tie-down meetings for assigned events.
- Oversee booking for required transport, in accordance with established procedures.
