**Social Media Coordinator**

The Bruce Oake Recovery Centre is a 50-bed live in substance use health and addiction treatment facility that provides participants with a full continuum of evidence-based care.
- **Lived experience of mental health challenges and/or substance use, and recovery are considered an asset.**_

**Reporting to the Executive Coordinator, the Social Media Coordinator will**:

- Support the creation and execution of marketing and social media
- Engage with community through Facebook and Instagram platforms
- Assist in event coordination including internal and external communications
- Support on the day of events to capture content for social media platforms
- Monitor Facebook and Instagram platforms to gather insights on how to improve content
- Support in the creation of poster, pamphlets, and other graphics needed for events
- Organize contact lists and distribution lists
- Provide general support for the Executive Coordinator
- Support in coordination of tours
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Completion of High School diploma
- Relevant post-secondary diploma and 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and high level of customer/client service and response.
- Professional written and communication skills
- Basics skills in Microsoft 365 Applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams and online meeting technologies
- Basic skills with Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Photoshop are considered an asset.
- Excellent memory and attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and adapt to needs that come up due to the nature of the sector
- A desire to be part of an organization that is committed to equity based person-centered care.

**Due to the nature of the funding from the Urban/Hometown Green Team grant, the requirements for this role include**:
1) Applicant is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
2) Applicant is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract with possible full-time permanent extension

**Contract length**:5 Months with potential for permanent hiring upon completion
