**Responsibilities**:

- All staffs must be up to date with required immunizations
- Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and a clear 2 Step TB Test will be needed once offered a position
- All staffs working with children are required to have a valid standard first aid certificate and Child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) including infant and child
- To have a working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act. Understand and comply with provincial, municipal, and our daycare programs and policies
- Maintain qualifications and certifications as required by HarmonyHills standards
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Cook Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals for children in our care. Your culinary skills and knowledge of food safety will ensure that all meals meet dietary guidelines and promote healthy eating habits among the children.

**Position Overview**

Qualifications include but are not limited to:
⦁ Legally able to work in Canada

⦁ Preparing ingredients, clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils

⦁ Clean and sanitize food preparation workstations

⦁ Proper food handling techniques and safety practices

⦁ Communicate kitchen needs to main cook

⦁ Assisting main cook and delivering food to each class

⦁ Experience in early learning education centre meal preparation is an asset

⦁ Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending and stooping, pushing, carrying and pulling

⦁ Perform other duties as assigned

Now we are hiring two kitchen assistants.

Two different hours available.

1. 9am to 5pm (8hrs)

2. 10am to 6pm (8hrs)

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
