**Main Responsibilities**:

- Representing the Company in Examinations, Settlement Conferences and Trials as required
- Knowledge of Small Claims Court procedure, time constraints and document forms and formats
- In depth knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and the Landlord and Tenant Board proceedings
- Collection of outstanding accounts
- Manage escalated legal cases from start to finish, including conducting trials in Small Claims Court
- Contacting past tenants and debtors to solicit and discuss repayment of outstanding accounts
- Deal with highly confidential information in a secure environment
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Must hold a P1 Paralegal licence in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum 5 years experience of dealing with both Small Claims and Landlord and Tenant matters
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines, work well under pressure and take initiative using sound judgment
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills
- Professionalism demonstrated with colleagues, clients both in person and conversing by phone
- Strong grammatical skills, including punctuation and proofreading, attention to detail and accuracy are a must
- Demonstrated commitment to privacy and ethical conduct

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
