**The Opportunity**:
The **Recreation Aide** role will be serving the community of **STONEBROOK** in **GRIMSHAW, ALBERTA**. The Recreation Aide is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with an elevated level of focus in time management. We are looking for a caring professional, with strong leadership skills to guide our dynamic team who provide hospitality and wellness services within our supportive living community.

Only 20 minutes east of Peace River in the Mighty Peace Region, **Grimshaw** has a variety of destinations with numerous activities for all ages and interests including outdoor, indoor, fitness, relaxation, camping, fast-paced and general experiences. In 2020, Statistics Canada rated the cost of living in Grimshaw as an A+. Overall 16% less than the national average and housing is 64% less than the national average.

(1) TEMP Part-time 3 days per week for one year

- Ensures the performance of recreational services as specified in the Care/Service Plan
- Facilitating and encouraging Resident advocacy
- Responsible for audits and reports, providing and evaluating the delivery of recreational services based on the Resident Care Plan & Service Plan
- Supports the residents in identifying personal leisure barriers
- Follows the Emergency Management Plan, Infection Control protocol, WHMIS, and Health & Safety
- Assisting with daily life and duties within the Community
- Participates in projects and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain appropriate levels of certification
- Someone who embodies patient leadership skills, while exemplifying team player behavioristics
- Professional motivator, coach, and mentor

**Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from**:

- Must hold valid certification in First Aid and CPR
- Obtain prior to employment, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
