**Position**
Reporting to the Environmental Services Coordinator, The Events Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day requirements for orderly maintenance and operations of the Pointe au Baril Community Centre. In a friendly and courteous manner, the Attendant acts as a host to customers coming to the Community Centre and provides a safe & clean environment to patrons using the facility.

**Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Applicants must have reliable transportation and will be required to work on weekdays, weekends, and latenight shifts through the summer (June through to September Long Weekend).
- Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence.
- First Aid, WHMIS, Smart Serve, Food Safety Handling certificates preferred but not required.

**Position Description**
- Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
- Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
- Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g., soap).
- Wipe mirrors and windows.
- Maintain outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawn, cleaning entrances.
- Report major damages to the Supervisor.
- Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows, and setting the alarm.
- Undertake custodial tasks (lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)
- Assist patrons with needs pertaining to the events.
- Events Attendant required to attend The Township of The Archipelago training and Orientation Sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all records and files unless the release of specific information is authorized by the Supervisor.
- Conduct all other relevant duties as requested by the Supervisor.
- Operate in a safe manner and comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements and Township safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Hourly Rate**
Ranges from $23.46 to $27.45
