The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the overall job site activities within the established design, scope, budget and scheduling guidelines. This includes planning and scheduling, organizing and directing activities on the job site.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Including but not limited to the following:
**SCHEDULING**
- Oversee coordination of multiple job sites
- Participate in scheduling meetings
- Present progress reports of all WIPs to Project Manager
- Liaise with Project Managers to create accurate and updated schedules
- Follow project timelines to ensure deadlines are met
- Communicate with Project Manager and participate in site inspections with inspection authorities as required (i.e.: MOL, Utilities, etc.)
- Timely and efficient communication with Project Manager regarding:

- Potential scope change (CCNs)
- Schedule variances/potential setbacks
- Progress reports
- Oversee coordination and scheduling of field crew
- Effective documented communication of job specific requirements daily (per ECSI Standard Operating Procedures)
- Daily site-specific schedule
- Scope of work
- Tool/Equipment requirements
- Material needs

**SALES / ESTIMATING**
- Estimating
- overflow when Project Manager requires assistance
- Change Order Opportunities with current WIPs
- Prepare Job Costing Forms (JCFs) detailing:

- Labour hours
- Material specifications
- Equipment specifications
- Other (consulting, 3rd party services, etc.)
- Ensure client information is complete and accurate
- Act as “Brand Ambassador” at all times
- Help drive sales opportunities
- Recognize and refer intercompany services

**PROJECT EXECUTION**
- Scope Execution
- Liaise with Supervisors to ensure scope execution
- Site audits
- Scheduling
- Participate in scheduling meetings clearly define resource and schedule requirements
- Communicate through operations team to ensure client expectations are met
- Monitor project budget to execute project as estimated
- CCN / CO management
- Liase with Project Manager on all CCN/CO opportunities on all WIPs

**ADMINISTRATION / COMPLIANCE**
- Audit site records, including but not limited to:

- Daily Work Sheets (DWS)
- Timesheets
- Site safety inspection compliance
- Health and safety certifications
- Notice of Project (as required)
- as per ministry standards and ECSI policy
- Liaise with inspection authorities as required (i.e.: Utilities disconnect inspections; Occupancy Permit, etc.)
- Maintain daily reports including but not limited to progress reports, non-compliance reports, deficiency reports and submit as required

**QUALITY ASSURANCE / QUALITY CONTROL**
- Ensure quality of workmanship/scope completion in compliance with ECSI standards
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding work being performed by subcontractors
- Ensure complete scope completion as per contract
- Identify deficiencies
- Ensure all “Job Sign Offs” are completed at end of projects

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Indoor and outdoor work
- Regular standing, walking, climbing stairs
- Assistance with trade work as required
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. and operate equipment

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**:

- High School Diploma;
- 5+ years in Trades
- 2+ years in Construction Superintendent role or equivalent
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project & Outlook)

**SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE**
- Ability to multi-task and perform under intense pressure and time constraints
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Detail orientated with organizational astuteness
- Respect and appreciation for process and process improvement
- Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Effective communication skills;
- Valid class “G” Driver’s License;
**TRAINING**
- Basics of Supervising;
- MOL Supervisor Health and Safety Training;
- MOL Worker Health and Safety Training;
- WHMIS 2015 Certificate;
- Working at Heights Certificate;
- Blueprint Reading; and
- First Aid, CPR & AED

**Salary**: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
