**About us**

Protec Contractors specializes in complete infrastructure protection for new construction, existing production areas, or commercial renovations. Providing a wide range of solutions for concrete protection, leveling, and breakdown issues. Specializing in the installation of high-performance polymer flooring and polished concrete for industrial and commercial floors. Other Protec solutions include epoxy and urethane injection, dry-ice blasting, concrete restoration, waterproof membrane systems, wall coatings, and linings, custom concrete grinding, and existing surface removal. Protec Contractor’s installers are certified in and use only the industry-best product innovators; including SIKA, Retro Plate, General Polymers, Sherwin Williams, W.R. Meadows; to ensure a quality product every time.

We are seeking a talented Junior Estimator to join our construction team. As a Junior Estimator, you will be responsible for supporting the senior estimator in all aspects of the estimation process, from reviewing plans and specifications to preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for some administrative work of scheduling workers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the senior estimator in reviewing and interpreting project plans and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze historical data and other relevant information to develop and refine cost models.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
- Track and maintain records of estimates, bids, and contracts.
- Follow up on bids and estimates daily
- Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Schedule workers for various projects and ensure that they are properly equipped and prepared for their tasks.

**Requirements**:

- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in construction estimation or related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and estimating software’s such as STACK
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
