Row Crop Agronomy

Lakeside Grain & Feed Limited is a joint venture partner with The Agronomy Company of Canada a leading supplier of crop input products for row crop and horticulture producers across Ontario. **JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Build on Lakeside’s existing sales program Agronomy 3.0
- Establish a sound business relationship with customers
- Maintain and identify new sales opportunities with row crop growers
- Development of individual grower crop plans, providing innovation and agronomic solutions to maximize grower returns
- Coordinate customer requests and sales with operations staff to ensure requirements are met
- Conduct in-field scouting of weeds, insects & diseases
- Work with industry partners to run field-scale trials for new products & seed
- Review and oversee the collection of Customer Receivables
- Willingness to learn and work with a wide variety row crop processor’s

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evening & weekends as required
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams across the Lakeside business structure
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft software
- Plan, present and organize customer meeting and plot demonstration days
- Valid G Driver’s licence & willingness to provide driver’s abstract
- Ability to lift & carry up to 60lbs as needed

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- A post secondary education, diploma, or degree in Agriculture/Marketing
- Agricultural experience, particularly in the row crop field
- Agronomic sales experience (3 years preferred)
- Certified Crop Advisor designation would be considered an asset

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
