Leadership Recert Admin

The Lifesaving Society Ontario is a full-service provider of programs, products and services designed to prevent drowning. We save lives and prevent water-related injury through our training programs, Water Smart® public education, drowning prevention research, aquatic safety management and lifesaving sport. Each year, more than 1,000,000 Canadians participate in the Society’s swimming, lifesaving, lifeguarding and leadership programs.

The Lifesaving Society Ontario is seeking an experienced Admin support staff to join our Training team. Reporting to the Senior Training Officer, the Leadership Recert Admin will provide administrative support for the Society’s training and leadership program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Correspond with affiliates to collect and enter course listings into ‘Find a Course.’
- Manage and respond to all inquiries related to the leadership and training department.
- Manage International award equivalencies.
- Provide administrative support to Training Program department and Senior Training Officer.
- Provide courteous and prompt telephone and visitor reception, and customer service:

- Work in a team environment consistent with the Lifesaving Society culture of providing excellent products and services to customers.
- Actively participate in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of the following knowledge, skills and experience will enable the selected applicant to perform the major job functions successfully. All requirements below are essential unless otherwise indicated as an ‘asset’.
- Experience with the aquatics industry and current Leadership Certificate holder would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Lifesaving Society training programs (preferred).
- Completion of secondary school or college/university program.
- Accurate data entry experience (minimum 50 wpm) using a Windows based system.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience sorting, filing and retrieving files.
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and to deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members.
- Eligible to work in Canada.

**Salary**: $59,544.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

- Lifesaving Society Instructor Certification (required)
