TOH has an exciting opportunity to invest in our people’s career goals Reporting to the Talent Acquisition and Optimization leadership team, the Coordinator is accountable for the planning and delivery of talent and career-related programs and is responsible for facilitating wraparound Career Services and Supports for Staff and Leaders at the Ottawa Hospital seeking guidance in achieving their career objectives.

**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, 8 hour shifts

**What you will do**:
The Coordinator will act as liaison between TOH’s Talent Acquisition & Optimization team, our hiring leaders, and frontline staff, supporting and developing opportunities for the organization to feed its talent pipeline through encouraging internal career mobility and ultimately supporting the development of a more agile workforce. They will be called upon to support strategic workforce planning and optimization initiatives to build talent pipelines, support redeployment initiatives and other people-career movement and development strategies.

Once the TOH Career Pathways Centre is established, the role will extend beyond the confines of the organization to building and collaborating with external organizations through building meaningful relationships with partners in the community. The Coordinator will act as TOH representative in co-developing opportunities with these organizations, leading projects, planning career-related events such as internal/external job fairs, developing programs with external partners.

Responsibilities will include:

- Coaches clients on opportunity mobility within the organization based on their individual preferences, skills, and goals, and support staff with mapping of career goals and developing career plans.
- Facilitates education and seminars for staff, leaders on career planning, opportunities within TOH, programs for growth and development, and facilitates programs with the primary focus of supporting career development for our people.
- Develops and maintain toolkits for leaders to support on career planning discussions with their staff, as well as toolkits for both staff and leaders on creating resumes, cover letters, common interview techniques and questions.
- Educates clients on external programs or courses to upgrade skills that are in alignment with individuals career goals.
- Facilitates opportunities for skill development such as job shadowing, retraining, mentoring, or special projects.
- Communicates with multiple stakeholders and facilitating connections between employees and leaders where there may be potential opportunities.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning and Sustainability teams to plan career-related strategies to support upcoming talent gaps and vacancies
- Establishes partnerships with external partners such as educational institutions or training programs to facilitate new graduate onboarding.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition team members to develop meaningful connections and maintain relationships with external community-based organizations to support branding TOH as employer of choice in line with TOH’s People and EDI strategies.
- Participates in job fairs and other events that promote TOH as an Employer of Choice and coordinate planning for internal job fairs and department-specific promotions events.
- Acts as lead on committees requiring career center support and advice.

**What you will bring**:

- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related discipline;
- Career Development Professional/Practitioner Certification;
- Minimum three (3) years of career development/coaching, talent acquisition and/or human resources experience working in a complex, high-volume, unionized environment;
- Previous experience working with both hiring leaders and applicants on career planning, development, mapping, and coaching;
- Experience developing and facilitating education programs for job seekers;
- Experience with delivering and coordinating learning and
