Smith & Sons is a Design and Build company. We are a local, quality general contractor specializing in home renovation, carriage house, and custom home projects. We work with clients from concept to completion.

Smith & Sons Remodeling Experts is currently seeking a highly-skilled general carpenter in the Lake Country area.

The successful applicant will collaborate with the company owner &/or the superintendent focusing on building a team to complete quality residential building projects. The successful applicant will possess a passion for construction, take pride in your work and appearance, and want to be a part of a company that has a positive, productive, and progressive culture. A great work ethic and willingness to serve and learn are necessary personal characteristics you’ll need to fit in and grow with Smith & Sons.

Initial and ongoing compensation will be negotiated based on experience, productivity, and attitude.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The successful applicant will:

- Be reliable and show up to work on time
- Possess a great work ethic and the willingness to learn.
- Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications.
- Have good communication and organizational skills.
- Comply with all company, building, and safety code policies.
- Framing
- Insulating
- Drywall
- Taping
- Finishing Carpentry
- Painting
- Ceramic Tile
- Laminate floors
- Minor plumbing
- Minor electrical

**Requirements & Qualifications**
- Live within 50 kilometers of our Lake Country, BC office.
- Minimum 5 years of residential construction and renovation experience.
- Current driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Have own general hand tools and work gear/PPE

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to $40.00 per hour
