La Fleuraison is a flower shop in downtown Montreal. We are looking for a highly motivated and a design conscious individual of the latest trends and techniques in artistic preserved flowers, fresh flowers and plants. Working on a variety of tasks, this role requires an individual with a creative imagination and a strong attention to detail.

**POSITION ENTAILS THE FOLLOWING JOB DUTIES**:

- Process, prepare, clean and organize fresh and dried flowers
- Create appropriate arrangements of floral items for daily walk-in customers for birthdays, weddings, funerals and other occasions.
- Design bouquets, corsages, sprays, wreaths and other floral arrangements in various shapes and sizes on customized individual orders
- Combine other imported decorative material to make artisan gift items
- Arrange large artistic flower murals for corporates’ events, parties.
- Make decorative accessories with natural, artificial flowers and foliage
- Use paper laser cutting machine and other craft tools
- Create innovative and exciting fresh, terrarium, dried and preserved flower arrangements.
- Wrap flowers purchases and operate cash register
- Provide exceptional customer service in courteous manner to uphold Lafleuraison’s reputation of excellent personalized experience.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Floral design certificate/diploma or studies in design (interior, graphic )
- At least 6 months of concrete experience in the floral industry or in retail stores
- Artistic talent and aesthetic dexterity must be demonstrated by a portfolio of work
- Knowledge of names of plants and flowers, understand the basic principles of floral design.
- Understanding in safe handling of material, tools and equipment
- Experience in the preservation process of dry flowers
- Knowledge of floral arragements in Oriental styles
- Able to work Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evening and weekends
- Positive attitude with an ability to take initiative
- English or French (bilingual is a plus)

**Wage if offered at $17.00 per hour, 35 hours per week.**
