**Portfolio Analyst**

Business Management team is a team within the Data & Analytics organization. The key focus for this team is to ensure that we are managing the DA Vision and Mission by:

- Enabling our leaders to focus on client value-added work without compromising the day-to-day operations
- Transform our processes and enhance our capabilities around productivity and expense management.
- Provide a consistent and streamlined framework for DA to follow

You will be working in the Finance pillar, but everyone on the BMG team is encouraged to hop over and support in the other pillars. This will allow you to learn and grow your skills across BMG.

We are looking for people who are ‘comfortable being uncomfortable’ - people who can challenge our teams and Leadership on ‘why’ and ‘how’ we do our processes and when it doesn’t provide value, strong enough to have the conversation around ‘decommissioning’ the process.

**What will you do?**
- Support governance activities including score carding, data collection, analysis and acting as a liaison between Data & Analytics and suppliers.
- Manage and review suppliers’ delivery of service levels, cross reference with contracts, analyze, track and report accordingly.
- Consult on issues impacting the efficiency and effectives of supplier relationship management.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Sourcing and Legal to complete DA Maintenance Renewals, Contracts and Software Purchases.
- Participate in budget, forecast and strat plan processes, assisting and actively participating in data collection and consolidation during planning cycles
- Other ad hoc requests as required

**What you need to succeed**
- Strong financial acumen with good technical knowledge, analytical and problem-solving sills.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills at all levels with clarity and precision (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently as well as in team environment providing input to financial ambiguous situations.
- Highly motivated self-starter, driven for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
- University or other post-Secondary education in a relevant field (Business/Commerce or Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
- Five+ years’ experience in an IT environment.
- This role is dependent upon a Canadian enhanced reliability security clearance, which requires minimum 5-year Canadian history review by the RCMP.

**Preferred skills**
- Knowledge of database technologies support in D&A: SQL, Oracle, Mainframe, Middleware, Infrastructure, Emerging Technologies, Cloud and others.
