**Overview**

We're looking for a **Plant Manager** at our flagship location in **Mississauga **(400 Traders Blvd E) to oversee all production operations with a focus on Process Improvement. This role requires **experience**, **leadership **abilities and **change management** experience. This is a great opportunity to make change, modernize and have a major impact on the company

**Safety | Quality | Production**

The **Plant Manager** is responsible for the management of all plant operations and employees in order to produce quality products in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

**Details**
- Provide leadership, direction, guidance and support to production employees and production supervisors.
- Develop positive, motivating and efficient communication with all employees.
- Provide supervision, evaluation, motivation and training of employees to ensure work is completed efficiently, effectively and safely.
- Maintain, adhere to and administer company policies and procedures in the areas of Quality Assurance, GMP and Quality Control.
- Lead daily production meetings and monthly cost attack initiatives.
- Ensures the efficient and effective use of the workforce, equipment and material resources.
- Ensure the manufacturing and packaging of a quality product while maintaining a safe and motivated workforce.
- Monitors the scheduling of equipment and employees to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis.
- Ensure that safe conditions always exist within the work environment; will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of employees.
- Support the plant’s safety process to insure a behavioral-based safe, hazard-free working environment for all employees. Take an active leadership role in the plant’s Health & Safety Teams.
- Effectively uses daily production information to track costs, measure trends, and communicate results, positively reinforce success, and initiate corrective action when appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and lead problem-solving efforts through the facilitation of effective functional and cross-functional teams and on-the-floor leadership to effectively change systems and procedures through the process of Continuous Improvement.
- Ensures the Company’s quality and sanitation standards are met through close liaison with Quality Services, full participation in the HACCP, ISO, etc. as well as frequent review and implementation of Company and Government Policies.
- Administers environmental policies and ensures regulations are followed.
- Supports Lean program and OCS (Operation Clean Sweep).
- Administers the Collective Agreement and maintains effective internal and external working relationships.
- Supports and maintains Amhil’s quality standards.

**What we’re looking for**
- **_ A Great Attitude_**:

- Minimum 5+ yrs progressive management experience.
- 5-10+ yrs in plastics manufacturing or processing (preference for plastic cups, lids and straws manufacturing).
- Thorough knowledge of operations with emphasis on packaging and sanitation.
- Familiar with GMP, HACCP and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and requirements.
- Experience in successful leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team in a “hands on” environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, possess high degree of initiative, and works well under pressure.
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.

**Also nice to have**
- Familiar with Amhil products/plastics industry.
