**Manual Machinist - Dynamic Precision - $2000 signing bonus**

**Position Overview**:
As a key member of the Machining team at Dynamic Precision, the Manual Machinist plays a crucial role in producing high-quality precision components that meet our clients' specifications and expectations. Reporting directly to the Production Manager the Senior Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual machining equipment to fabricate components with precision and accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1) **Machine Setup and Operation:
a. Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses.

b. Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.

c. Ensure that machine setups are completed efficiently and accurately to meet production deadlines.

**2) **Tool Selection and Maintenance:
a. Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each machining operation.

b. Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

c. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to tooling or machine performance as they arise.

d. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

**3) **Precision Machining:
a. Perform precision machining operations such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.

b. Monitor machining processes to ensure that components are produced to the required tolerances and surface finishes.

c. Adjust machining parameters as needed to optimize production efficiency and quality.

**4) **Quality Control:
a. Conduct thorough inspections of machined components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

b. Identify and address any deviations from specifications, taking corrective action as necessary to maintain quality standards.

c. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of production activities.

**5) **Safety and Compliance:
a. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machining equipment and handling hazardous materials.

b. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards related to machining operations.

c. Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety within the Machining department.

**Qualifications**:
1) High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in machining is preferred.

2) Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manual Machinist in a manufacturing or machining environment.

3) Proficiency in setting up and operating manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, including Mill-power controlled machines, and drill presses.

4) Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and material properties.

5) Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.

6) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

7) Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.

8) Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

9) Effective communication and teamwork skills.
