**Position Overview**:
Dynamic Precision Inc., a leading manual machining company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as Lead Hand. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Lead Hand plays a pivotal role in managing workflow through the shop, providing scheduling updates to the Customer Service Manager, and interacting with clients to clarify questions regarding the design and tolerancing of machined components. This position requires a strong background in manual machining, strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1) Workflow Management:
a. Coordinate and prioritize the workflow through the shop to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of projects.

b. Assign tasks and responsibilities to machinists based on workload and skill levels and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.

2) Scheduling and Updates:
a. Provide regular scheduling updates to the Customer Service Manager, keeping them informed of project status, potential delays, and any changes to delivery timelines.

b. Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager to address any customer concerns or requests related to project scheduling or progress.

3) Client Interaction:
a. Interact with clients as needed to clarify questions surrounding the design and tolerancing of machined components, providing technical expertise and guidance as required.

b. Maintain open lines of communication with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are understood and addressed effectively.

4) Team Support:
a. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to machinists to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

b. Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development within the team, and coordinate training sessions as necessary.

5) Quality Assurance:
a. Ensure that machined components meet quality standards and adhere to customer specifications and tolerances.

b. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and address any issues or deviations from requirements.

**Qualifications**:
1) High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in machining is preferred.

2) Minimum of 5 of experience in manual machining, with demonstrated leadership abilities.

3) Strong knowledge of machining principles, materials, and processes.

4) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

5) Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

6) Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
