**Basic Function - The Manager; FBO Operations & Development**

This is a vital leadership position overseeing the YQT and future growth FBO facilities. The Manager will ensure that all tasks, process and procedures are continuously conducted safely, in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Further, ensuring conformance with standard operating procedures and corporate standards with a keen focus on operational safety, both internal and Shell Aviation related. This sphere of influence will include the YQT FBO and any future growth site facilities, along with ensuring continued growth of account sales, partnerships and efficiencies with subsidiary companies.

**Tasks/Responsibilities**
- Operate specific department/Company software programs
- Maintain a high level of accuracy
- Organize and prioritize workload/manage time efficiently and effectively
- Meet and greet VIP aircraft, customers and patrons of the FBO
- Work under pressure
- Prepare reports
- Prepare/compose letters
- Research, resolve and respond to internal/external customers' issues and queries
- Work with mínimal or no supervision
- Lead the development, communication and implementation of efficient operational procedures, policies and effective growth strategies
- Responsible for effective management of employees, including driving performance initiatives, headcount management and other HR initiatives
- Drive the department to achieve sales, profitability, business goals and objectives by ensuring sales generation and attracting new aircraft and fuel customers to the FBO
- Oversee the operational activities on the ramp and adjacent Aprons, in conjunction with the Airport Authority and neighboring tenants
- Foster a safe work environment and culture ensuring the effective implementation of all safety standards and programs
- Oversee and manage occurrence report investigations (i.e. provide notifications to applicable authorities and manage occurrence closings) for line service and customer service
- Plan, organize and direct FBO operational activities
- Accountable for the achievement of financial results
- Accountable to attain the highest level of safety auditing and performance (Green) with Shell Aviation
- Accountable to attain and maintain the highest OTP, safety and operational requirements
- Participate in the preparation of FBO budgets and financial forecasts for line service, customer service, contracted services etc.
- Promote a positive and harmonious working environment to provide the highest levels of customer service, internally and externally
- Comply with Company Policies and Government Regulations

In addition to the above, all positions may be required to perform the following Tasks / Responsibilities:

- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- May be required to perform other related duties which do not affect the nature of the job
- Verify, rates and adjust documents and customer detail
- Task allocation may vary from one department/company/position to another
- Maintain competitive awareness of industry standards
- May be required to travel for training and/or development purposes

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**
- College diploma and/or degree preferred
- Post-secondary education or related experience.; a degree or diploma in Aviation or Business Management is considered an asset, but not required

**Skills/Knowledge**
- Great interpersonal skills
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Aptitude for accuracy and detail
- Significant track record in securing new clients/customers, achieving financial results and driving performance improvements
- High safety orientation and experience with SMS / safety management processes
- Airport and Ground Handling knowledge

**Experience**
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a management/development/forward facing role including intimate knowledge of Aviation and/or FBO operations, ramp operations and guest service functions

**Specific Requirements**
- G Driver's License Required, Progressing to DZ
- Criminal Background Check Required
- Confidentiality Agreement Required

- Participate in customer / partner specific Safety Requirements
- Company to provide PC & mobile phone
- Must be available for emergency call-out purposes and be able to respong to the airport within 30 minutes
