We cover North America with more than 20 000 employees. We are looking for an energetic and motivated full-time Compost lead hand to support our growing business Job Duties
Install a safety culture, lead by example.
Coordinating and leading daily activities of the compost union workforce.
Responsible for meeting daily production goals.
Recommend improvements and develop improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Identify and record non-conformities and participate in their resolution.
Working alongside the Maintenance lead hand, provide the preventative maintenance schedule for the fixed and mobile equipment. Also keep track of repairs and maintenance needed in plant.
Monitor parts inventory for the facility and report to manager what should be ordered or in inventory.
Enter daily tracking items required for record keeping.
Maintain a well-organized and clean facility as per GFL’s vision.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Promoting positive employee relations.
Ability to work as a respectable, professional and efficient team member.
Participation in special projects.
Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
To fill this position, it is essential to demonstrate good priority management skills.
We are looking for a conscientious person, competent in interpersonal relations, autonomous, motivated and with strong time management skills.
Wear all mandatory personal protective equipment as assigned.
Follow all safety procedures as outlined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Applicable Industrial Regulations, Federal, Provincial, Municipal regulations Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Report all accident, incidents, near misses and hazards to supervision immediately.
