DHL Express has an opening for a** Casual Warehouse Associate - HIC **at our**Richmond** location. **You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages in order to serve our customers’ needs to the best of our ability. Join us and help us achieve our mission of having the best day every day.

Shift Availability: Casual Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Wage: $21.04

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Provide visibility on shipments/updating shipment request and status using DCVS, GEMA, GOP, WCC & HIC
- Accountable for successful daily inbound/outbound sort management.
- Process offloaded freight from couriers.
- Calling customers to advise delays/update information etc.
- Staging of undeliverable freight as instructed.
- Ensure special handling of requests and service failure responses are followed up.
- Communicate effectively with customers over the phone & in - person.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Meet company productivity targets.
- Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Professional representation of DHL at all times, including the maintenance & presentation of vehicle, uniform, waybills/product.
- Proactively manage the customer’s perception of and level of satisfaction with our service.
- Interact effectively with other members of the customer service & operations team.
- To alert the Sales department to potential customer opportunities and/or vulnerabilities.
- Maintain productivity levels outlined by management in regards to Aging/HOS.
- Follow policy and procedures as outlined by shift Supervisor.
- Maintain a secure and safe working environment for all staff.
- Comply with Collective Agreement.

**Here is what we need from you**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70lbs. per piece throughout the shift.
- Working knowledge of Windows (Microsoft Office)
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on time within tight time constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions an asset

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
Often fatiguing or uncomfortable - hot or cold warehouse environment dependent upon season. The job might often require concentrated levels of attention and physical activity. Tension and time constraints may be an on-going aspect of the job.

**Note**:Shift timings and scheduled days of work may change from time to time based on business requirements; therefore, flexibility in your schedule is a job requirement. Uniforms are supplied.
