**Job Summary**

SSES consults for several clients all across Canada. As part of your role, you will be responsible for developing resources for clients as well as conducting technical analysis on numerous projects and technologies. You will be involved in helping communities across Canada reduce their GHG emissions and make recommendations on retrofits while looking at possible government incentive available to help alleviate high capital costs. The position will also require you to conduct program level (electricity, gas, water and waste reduction) analysis on provincial and/or national sustainability programs that are administered by the company on behalf of other organizations(s). Managing energy efficiency projects and conducting energy audits will be part of the role as well.

**Responsibilities**:

- Writing about sustainability. Putting together resourceful content about sustainability and energy that can be used by commercial building managers and co-operative homes to educate and promote green project implementation.
- Conducting technical analysis on energy efficient projects (i.e. VFD upgrade, motor upgrade, chiller replacement, etc.). Ability to conduct utility bill analysis.
- Conducting and reviewing Energy Audits and Energy Modelling (ASHRAE Level 1, 2 and 3)
- Conducting Carbon Audits
- Reporting for numerous projects
- Conducting energy savings analysis for buildings across the nation and reporting on GHG emissions and water savings. Looking at the impacts of weather on energy use.
- Knowledge of BOMA BEST and LEED certification an asset
- Researching new technologies and creating tools for clients to be used to asses project feasibility.
- Managing energy efficiency projects for clients. This involves investigating opportunities for district energy suppliers and conducting technical analysis to be used in developing business cases. This also involves working to procure vendors and managing the implementation of projects.
- Communicating with the team and with clients as required

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of an Engineering bachelor’s degree program or equivalent required.
- Experience conducting ASHRAE Level II Energy Audits
- P.Eng, CEM or CMVP designation an asset
- Previous experience working at an energy consulting firm is a must.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (VBA and Macros specifically)
- Experience with high level writing
- Experience with Social Media and brand development (preferably LinkedIn)
