Great opportunity We are currently seeking a full-time Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our fabrication manufacturing facility. You will utilize both electrical and mechanical skills to assemble a variety of products.
Mon - Fri 7:30 AM - 4 PM
40 hours per week
Potential to become permanent
**Responsibilities**:
- Install, wire, and test manufactured cable assemblies into custom enclosures
- Integrate electronic components, PCBAs, and mechanicals to complete product assemblies
- Good manual dexterity demonstrating fine motor skills for working with small components (hand-eye coordination)
- Cable and wire harness assembly and soldering
- Inspect and test electro-mechanical assemblies through stages defined by quality procedures
- Ensure quality of workmanship and meet defined production schedules
- Follow methods and sequence of operations according to engineered work instructions.
- Inspect your work for high accuracy and quality with attention to detail
- Working to develop the facility to improve working efficiency
- Participate in company cross-training program (as trainee and trainer)
- Adheres to all company policies & procedures, health and safety policies & procedures, regulations & standards and quality standards
- Following good housekeeping and 5s practices to ensure working area is kept clean/tidy
- Commit to and participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Work with mínimal supervision
**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- High school diploma, vocational, or technical training, or equivalent experience
- Specialized experience in a custom fabrication environment preferred
- Working knowledge of ESD protocols and electrical safety
- Must be able to follow direction and have good interpersonal communication skills
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, block diagrams, schematics, and blueprint drawings
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to use hand tools (common, pin crimpers, wire strippers, torque drivers, etc.)
- Ability to install mounts, brackets, cables, connectors, electronic equipment, thermal solutions and labels
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications and interpretation required
- Soldering, diagnosis, testing and inspection of printed circuit boards is an asset
- Training in IPC 600/610 workmanship standards
- Applicants must have a positive attitude; possess good organization and communication skills
- Must have problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Mechanically inclined with pneumatic, electric and hand tools
- Strong English language comprehension
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
