The Climate Change Division’s Adaptation Section helps communities, businesses and other levels of government understand and respond to the impacts of climate change on communities, the economy, ecosystems, and infrastructure through research, education, capacity building, planning, and partnerships.

**About Our Opportunity**:
In this position, you will be mainly responsible for supporting the Research and Knowledge Mobilization team in implementing adaptation commitments and enhancing the resilience of the province. You will work within a diverse team of professionals and will support various projects. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting background research to support adaptation best practices and evaluation.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
To be eligible for this position, you must currently be enrolled full-time in a graduate program relating to Environmental Sciences or Studies, Planning, or other relevant post-secondary concentration and returning to school in Fall 2023. Knowledge of climate impacts and risks, adaptation policies, programs, and plans are considered assets, as is familiarity with equity.

In addition to the above, the below will be key for success within the position:

- Demonstrated experience conducting literature reviews and familiarity working with qualitative and quantitative data
- Familiarity with evaluation approaches
- Strong research and critical thinking skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and motivated, with good time management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to learn and share ideas

**Pay Grade**:_ _HOURLY

**Salary Range**:_ _$23.58 - $27.30 Hourly
