**What you’ll do**:
You will be responsible for real estate activities, decisions, and strategies for FCL and its wholly owned subsidiaries. You will provide leadership with real estate advice, informing strategy development, projects, and operations. You will provide support to Local Co-ops for property management, leasing, lease administration and dispositions. As part of this work, you will ensure appropriate governance, processes and tools are developed for the efficient delivery of real estate support across FCL’s portfolio of properties.

Property Management and Leasing:

- You will develop tenant mix strategies for FCL and local Co-op properties, developing business partnerships that support strategy execution.
- You will lead and approve new leases and lease renewals as tenant and landlord for FCL, and you will review and recommend lease approvals for local Co-ops.
- You will resolve issues as tenant and landlord, issuing formal notices as required. Issues may include late rent, lease requirements, defaults, use clauses, rent collection, and tenant management.
- You will develop and monitor operating budgets for FCL owned revenue generating properties.
- You will develop and maintain tools, templates, and databases to reduce risk and improve decision making.
- You will develop and measure KPIs for FCL and Local Co-op real estate portfolio performance.

Acquisitions & Dispositions (FCL)
- You will provide or oversee real estate reviews and recommendations for corporate and local Co-op acquisitions. This will include an initial opportunity review through integration into the real estate portfolio.

Talent Management
- You will provide leadership and coaching to team members, assigning stretch assignments, and ensuring their work is aligned to support the business unit’s goals and the Co-op Brand
- You will provide team members with informal feedback on an ongoing basis and participate in the formal performance management process.

Note: Approximate 10% annual travel.

**Who you are**:

- You have an undergraduate degree in business, real estate, urban planning, or civil engineering.
- You have a minimum of 8 years of relevant progressively responsible experience.
- Participation in or a designation from one or several of the following organizations is considered an asset:

- Appraisal Institute of Canda
- Real Property Association of Canada
- International Council of Shopping Centers
- Building Owners and Managers Institute
- Building Owners and Managers Association
- Canadian Real Estate Association
- Urban Development Institute
- Canadian Institute of Planners (or its provincial affiliates)
