Overview

We’re looking for three (3) highly motivated Co-op Student, Return to Work Services to join our Return to Work Services (RTWS) department.

The Co-op students will support the recovery and return to work specialists in making a difference in the lives of working people across British Columbia. These are four-month full-time positions starting in May 2024.

**Where you’ll work**

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a **hybrid work model** that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In these roles, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you'll do
- Support and collaborate with the Recovery and RTWS team to assist in the development of recovery and return to work plans.
- Provide and coordinate a variety of health care services for workers and employers.
- Support in developing relationships with workers, employers and health care providers by providing timely and responsive service.

- Communicate professionally, both in writing and verbally, when interacting with staff, WorkSafeBC claimants, and health care providers.
- Be curious, receptive to learning and willing to ask questions.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
- Demonstrate strong multi-tasking and organization skills.

**Your experience and educational background**:

- A 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in disability management, health sciences, kinesiology, or similarly related program.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Word).
- Have at least 4 months of customer service experience.
- Previous co-op or relevant work experience in an office environment preferred.

- Confirm you’re a registered student at a post-secondary institution and is participating in a work integrated learning program
