Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Operations Manager. Reporting to the Area Manager, this position provides leadership, manages, coordinates, and optimizes the safe delivery of concrete in the GVA-East area. This position is also responsible for the maintenance/preventative programs for RMC plants in the GVA-East area. This position will work closely with the Sales Manager, Customer Service Manager and the Technical Services Manager of BC Materials in the implementation of the GVA concrete business strategy. This position is located in Langley, BC.

**What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Provide leadership, expertise and manage the process for the efficient and safe delivery of RMC in the GVA-East area.
- Provide leadership, expertise and manage the maintenance, preventative programs and special projects for mobile equipment and concrete plants in the GVA-East area.
- Ensure full safety, environmental, and training compliance with all levels of regulators while meeting or exceeding the Regional indicators.
- Facilitate a positive and productive working environment with key stakeholders such as managers, direct reports, workers, and unions.
- Coach, mentor and cross train other staff members for development purposes.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Post-Secondary degree in engineering, business, or logistics
- Minimum 12 years industry experience and 5 years at a managerial level, with exposure to working with unionized environments
- Advanced concrete, construction, and/or logistics experience required
- Superior interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new computer software
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team successfully

**Work Environment**:

- Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
