Method Studios currently has freelance openings for a **Compositor **to work on projects within our VFX department. This position will be supporting our team located in** Santa Monica, CA.**

**MAIN DUTIES**:

- Seamlessly integrate the various layers or elements of a live-action shot.
- Tackle shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, animation, and creation of elements, etc.
- Matte extractions from blue/green screen photography.
- Strong attention to detail, sense of color, colorspace, and lighting.
- Composite Multi-Pass CG Elements to create photo-real shots.
- Clean and efficient script organization.
- Communicate progress of work to Coordinator and Producer in a timely fashion.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- BA/BS preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a compositor in episodic, commercial, or feature VFX.
- Must excel in tracking and blue/green screens comps.
- Proficient in Nuke, Photoshop
- Knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under high pressure with short deadlines.
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
- Experience working with Shotgun software preferred.
