**About the role**:
The Financial Analyst Reporting Specialist is responsible for performing budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing key metrics to support leadership decision-making. The analyst will work closely with the sales team to understand the business, strengthening financial reporting methodology and narrative through a variety of approaches including analysis of market economic factors. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, as well as preparing reports and presentations for senior management. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for continually improving processes and methodologies to increase the accuracy of forecasting, budgeting, and other analyses.

The analyst will have strong knowledge of internal control best practices and will assist the finance and operations teams in building and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting. The analyst will have familiarity with revenue recognition practices and will be responsible for performing routine data reconciliation. The analyst will collaborate with various teams across the company, including Operations, Sales, Finance, Compliance, and Legal, to verify that internal controls and procedures over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models to support leadership decision-making
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand the business, translating broader economic factors and strategic opportunities into accurate sales projections
- Continually improve processes and methodologies to increase the accuracy of forecasting, budgeting, and analysis against actual results
- Perform data reconciliation, collaborating across teams to verify that internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively
- Lead and document walkthroughs to assess the design effectiveness of key control processes and implement improvements
- Incorporate early detection and identification to ensure timely actions are taken through decision analytics and predictive sales modeling
- Support the head of sales operations with ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field, with 3+ years of progressive financial reporting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- A strong sense of ownership; self-starter who can prioritize numerous demands with quick turnaround
- Ability to work well cross-functionally
- Have familiarity with revenue recognition practices
- Professional designation (ex. CPA) preferred
