**Position Summary**

As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for the supervision of all construction activities that take place on site. Your role is to ensure scheduled work is completed on time, oversee the quality of trade’s work, and ensure all parties comply with safety standards on site. You will work directly with an estimator and have an Assistant Site Supervisor. The Construction Superintendent will be required to communicate directly with the owner. You will be responsible for informing the owner of the status and schedule of work and ensuring the quality and deadlines of trades are being met.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the quality and assessing competency and capability of tradespersons/ crew
- Assigning and following up on crew tasks
- Coordinating with staff and trade contractors for proper sequencing
- Assisting sub-contractors in scheduling their work and providing direction as needed
- Work with Estimator on all field aspects of the project budget, and schedule of trades
- Recognizing, addressing, and resolving issues or problems among crew
- Setting and maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity
- Always ensure crew compliance with policies and procedures
- Direct Assistant Site Supervisor in corrective action where applicable
- Routinely Inform the Owner of the overall status of the project

**Education/Experience Requirements**:

- 10 years of construction experience in residential, wood frame, low-rise or mid-rise construction
- 5 years as a superintendent, preferably wood frame multifamily
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet firm deadlines.
- Ability to use reasonable judgment and make effective decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and adaptable to change.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all building techniques, building codes, and safety regulations associated with the construction of multi-story apartment buildings
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural schematics
- Established excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent organizing and management skills to achieve time efficiency and meet deadlines
- Consistently perform all work in a safe manner, following work instructions and/or safe operating procedure
