Background Screening Supervisor

**SUMMARY**
The Background Screening Supervisor, under the guidance of the Director of Operations, will play a pivotal and central role in the Background Screening department.
In this mid-level role, the Background Screening Supervisor will conduct a wide variety of administrative duties supporting Background Investigations as well as guide a small team of Background Screening Analysts in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
Further, the Background Screening Supervisor will act as the lead point of contact for prospective and current clients while ensuring files are completed within the required time frames achieving high levels of client satisfaction.
The Background Screening Supervisor t will showcase high levels of confidence, supportive leadership and professionalism at all times.

**JOB DUTIES**
Background Screening
- Oversee day-to-day activities of Screening Analysts to ensure alignment with industry best practices, internal SLAs, client preferences, and time management of tasks.
- Assume sole responsibility for conducting rigorous quality assurance ("QA") checks on all pre-employment screenings multiple times a day, ensuring precision and excellence in every assessment.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Systems Architect to optimize the performance of the case management system. Identify improvement areas and contribute to strategic solutions for client escalations.
- Handle and resolve client escalations, serving as a decisive point of contact for large clients to ensure a seamless and optimal customer service experience.
- Review month-end reports for accuracy and facilitate their timely processing by the Finance team.
- Verify the precision of client and vendor invoices before forwarding them for payment.
- Monitor work volume and team output, providing valuable insights to the Director of Operations for informed staffing decisions.
- Support the Director of Operations in the screening and interviewing process for vacant positions as needed.
- Conduct screening presentations to prospective clients, conduct thorough needs analysis, generate detailed proposals, and seamlessly onboard new clients.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for the fingerprint office, ensuring continuous coverage during business hours.
- Co-chair team huddles, fostering a collaborative and engaged team environment.
- Conduct pre-employment checks as needed.
Background Investigations
- Facilitate and streamline the efficient file management of Background Investigations (police, fire, speciality hires)
- Efficiently orchestrate the management of background files from intake to invoicing, guaranteeing a smooth and streamlined workflow.
- Review employee and contractor expenses for timely input, accuracy and budget alignment for the purpose of invoice generation
- Generate and manage client invoices
- Provide support to Investigators, extending to assistance in technology-related matters, expense submissions, and the compilation of reports.
- Compile, update and distribute reports in collaboration with the Director of Operations
- Execute with due diligence, ensure data integrity, and recommend solutions to enhance existing processes.
**Other**
- Juggle multiple priorities encompassing tasks like meticulous data entry, upkeep of shared mailboxes and drives, and efficient execution of day-to-day responsibilities, all while maintaining utmost confidentiality.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to contribute effectively to the overall success and efficiency of the team and organization.
**REQUIREMENTS**
**Education/Experience**
- 5-7years of administrative experience - Experience in investigations or background screening preferred
- 1-2 years of experience supervising or leading a team
- University or College education
- Criminology, Police Foundations, Business Admin or Project Management preferred
- High level of comfort and proficiency in basic mathematical concepts
- High level of comfort and proficiency with technology (i.e. Microsoft)
**Working Conditions**
- Hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capacity to attend and conduct meetings, both virtual and in perso
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
