**CareCorp Senior Services is a trusted company who provides superior healthcare, food and support services to long-term care and assisted living facilities across BC.**

**We are looking for a fun and caring Recreation Aide to join our amazing care team in one of our beautiful assisted living facilities, Maeford Place.**

**Position details**:Casual - Weekend availability preferred
**Compensation**:Starting at $23.27 per hour

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for day-to-day for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of recreation programs that meet a diverse population of residents.
- Ensures that every resident is involved in identified recreational activities in order to meet the goals of the resident's recreational treatment plan. Leads, instructs, and motivates residents in individual and group leisure pursuits.
- Setup and organize equipment needed for specific program(s), and oversee residents involved by encouraging participation.
- Ability to follow safety policy and protocol in the community with residents and volunteers.
- Effective and professional communication skills with all facility departments.
- Record and discuss residents' participation levels in programs.
- Escort, transport, assist residents to and from programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Current Food Safe certification.
- Completion of recognized Recreation course.
- Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current CPR/ First Aid.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Cultural education and experience are preferred
