**Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant Position**

You will be responsible for producing monthly Financial Reports, Account Payable, Payroll using Payworks setting up of all new condo corporations with regards to utilities, and downloading all bank statements and utility invoices for aid in audits.

Bookkeeper job duties will accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions. You will work closely with our team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correctly in the supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
- Downloading of Bank Statements for Audits and Bank Reconciliations
- Saving documents pertinent for an Audit in their proper folder
- Filing all cheque deposits in their proper binder
- Set up of utilities for all new corps either by phone or online

**Requirements**:

- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- Must be organized, tidy, solution orientated
- Accounts Payable for all Condos using Sparcpay which links with Shiftsuite software
- Following up with vendors when invoices are late for financial purposes
- Following up with Purchase Orders to ensure they are closed
- Setting up all payroll employees to the new Payworks platform
- Processing Payroll once set up
- Petty Cash reconciliation where applicable
- Producing a Condo Financial Statement for Board Owners

**Experience**:
Accounting qualifications or at least 3 to 5 years bookkeeping experience

Simply or QuickBooks certified or at least 3 to 5 years’ experience

Shiftsuite Condo Accounting software knowledge a plus

**Salary**: From $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
