This position is a 1-year contract based out of Edmonton, AB.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with daily group benefit administration, STD/LTD claims processing, data entry.
- Collaborate with internal/external resources to ensure effective, timely decision making and appropriate updates on client progress. Troubleshoot and resolve any process, claims inquiries or service issues identified.
- Run regular Audit reports to monitor, assess and review for procedural compliance. Assist with trend analysis and cost efficiency, monitoring beneficiaries, EOI’s, and overage dependents.
- Manage/assist with ad hoc projects, integration efforts and related duties as required.
- Draft correspondence with clients, plan participants and benefit providers that is accurate, timely and that expresses the Company’s position with respect to a variety of issues.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Update files to ensure they are organized and confidential.
- Support and co-ordinate with People and Culture representatives and payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable plan provisions and legislation.
- Coordinate involvement with stakeholders to facilitate a smooth return to work for employees and managers. Work with employees and treatment providers to obtain medical clearance ensuring safety sensitive positions are represented appropriately.
- General Administrative Support - Provider billing, scanning, filing STD/LTD & benefit statements.
- Maintain work perks and Transunion programs. Time keeping and earnings reports for graduated return to work program.
- Provider inquiries for pre-existing investigations, file redaction and duplication for 3rd party information requests.

**What We Are Looking For**
- Undergraduate degree, Diploma, or Certificate, in business administration or business-related field
- Experience with Benefits & Disability administration experience within a large organization is an asset
- Strong Computer skills Outlook/work/excel/PowerPoint
- Advanced technical proficiency in Word & Excel (V-Lookups and Pivot Tables required)
- Workday knowledge an asset
- Must possess strong organizational skills and can easily manage changing priorities and deadlines
- Confident, detail orientated, enthusiastic and positive team player
- The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Handle tasks from a variety of sources and systems; timely and with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Service oriented - Must demonstrate a respectful, compassion, courteous and supportive manner towards clients
