Machinist - CNC

**Essential Job Functions**:
- Makes all set-ups on tooling and machine.
- Able to run all machines in the shop efficiently.
- Understands materials, cutting tools, speed and feed conditions, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
- Uses shop math through trigonometry.
- Machines parts one at a time, but with production techniques.
- Machines from prints and can make from samples.
- Able to machine from bar stock and raw castings.
- Re-machine parts to repair them and still maintain critical dimensions. 4 Jaw Chuck knowledge needed.
- Participates in Safety, Quality and Activities Committees (if applicable).
- Adherence to all safety, quality, company rules and regulations.
- Responsible for personal safety and those around him/her. Can maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Education / Experience Required**:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of previous industry related experience.
- Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (MasterCam).
- Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
- Ability to use general inspection equipment.
- Understanding or work experience with Fisher and Final Control product preferred.
**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities**:
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Operating and programming experience with Mazatrol and Mastercam software strongly preferred.
- Knowledge/Experience in the following equipment preferred:
- Horizontal Lathe
- Bridgeport type milling machine
- Horizontal boring mill
- Overhead crane
- CNC Machines
**Physical Demands**:
Prolonged standing, lifting 35 pounds, bending, scooping, repetitive motions.
**Work Environment / Conditions**:
Shop environment.
