**CNC Lathe Machinist**

Journeyperson status in any metal cutting trade (tool and die, machinist, mold maker) or extensive proven experience on CNC lathes is required.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Program and machine components using prints and models
- Manufacture proto-types, fixtures and other high tolerance parts as required.
- Make necessary adjustments to maintain print dimensions and surface finishes.
- Perform visual and physical inspection of parts.
- Review schedule for upcoming jobs.
- General housekeeping around work area.
- Assist other Tool Shop personnel as required.
- Communicate and work effectively with work-team members.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in C and Y axis lathe programming and operation is preferred
- Experience with Fagor or Mazatrol controls an asset
- Fully able to understanding and work with prints and models
- Proficient use of required measuring equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to maintain high quality standards
- Excellent attendance record
- Strong time management and job planning skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills and a team player.
