Product Manager, Instrumentation

- Define and articulate the strategic product roadmap for Seismic instrumentation, based on a compelling product vision- Develop and manage the technical specifications for Nanometrics OEM products, and collaborate with R&D to ensure product development initiatives align with technical requirements- Become a product expert and champion, by developing a thorough understanding of external market segments, customer use cases, and competitive product offerings- Drive product development investment decisions via well-researched compelling business plans to ensure alignment with Nanometrics and customer needs- Manage the complete lifecycle of products, from initial concept through end-of-life- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support commercialization of both new and legacy products- Other duties as assigned
**Key Competencies**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively and make sound, logical decisions- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams- Strong client-facing, organizational and interpersonal skills- Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills- Ability to manage various concurrent projects with tight deadlines
**Requirements**:
- BSc in Earth Science, Engineering, Physics, or related fields- 5+ years of experience in geoscience or working with geophysical products- Experience developing and executing complex action plans
- Understanding of markets and trends, competitive landscape, industry product offerings and customer challenges
**Assets**- Technical Sales, support or business development experience- Product/technology development experience
